How to increase your international discoverability by choosing effective means. How to optimize the airing of your video clip on a music TV channel?
Presented by Christelle Onomo, who is taking on the role of moderator for the occasion, the objective of the workshop-conference “Reach and promotion of artists internationally through digital” is to bring artists to question the best strategies and measures to put in place to improve the discoverability of their audiovisual content on an international scale.
Starting from the fact that the African music market is saturated, we will bring some thoughts on the musical trends coming from the African diasporas that are in demand on the international music channels, to allow artists to be more in tune with this demand if they wish. We will talk about metadata and look at how to optimize the description of music content to improve its discoverability. Guest Patrick Lopes, an expert in the philosophy of broadcasting music videos in international music programming contexts, will share his knowledge of various artistic and technical aspects. Finally, we will discuss the challenges faced by artists in developing online content and promoting internationally.
Going on stage is a huge privilege. To stand out professionally professionally, the artist must give the audience a memorable experience. Do you have a clear plan to achieve this?
In general, the workshop is intended to help artists to surpass themselves in certain aspects related to their artistic practice. Four main themes will be addressed:
1. The performance and audience loyalty: what is the artist’s mission on stage
2. Preparation: how to image a show plan, defining the objectives to be reached, how to create highlights and in what order to perform the songs (writing a show template)
3. The rehearsal, a space for creation: how to plan rehearsals well, how to dare to rethink arrangements for the stage and how to use music to propel the artist
4. Practical demonstration in front of an audience: An artist will take part in a coaching session in front of an audience in order to put into practice the theoretical concepts discussed above.

In a second step, we will try to answer the famous question: when the music is finally available online, how to get added to Spotify and Apple Music playlists? Some answers can be found in the functioning of the algorithms as well as in the good practices that will be taught to you.
